Airport Resurfacing Project
At the Ordinary Council Meeting held 20 February 2019, Norfolk Island Regional Council (NIRC) passed a resolution (2019/29) to award a design and construct contract to Boral Resources Pty Ltd to reseal both runways, the taxiway and apron, and to replace runway lighting at the Norfolk Island Airport (aka Airport Pavement Repair and Resurfacing Project). At the same meeting NIRC awarded a Project Management Services contract to Aileron Edge (Resolution 2019/30) to act as the Superintendent for the Project on behalf of NIRC.
The purpose of this page is to provide information about the Project as it progresses including;

All questions/enquiries regarding the Project should be forwarded in writing to customercare@nirc.gov.nf. This will ensure questions/enquiries are directed to the appropriate person, and that the inquiry and any response provided, will be available to all members of the community via the Project webpage.
NIRC’s Customer Service Charter states we will respond to emails and letters within 10 working days. As with all enquiries, NIRC staff will endeavour to respond as soon as possible but this will be dependent on the quantity and nature of the questions received.
